Identify Information

The "Identify" button allows users to graphically select a single point on the map. The selected point will be highlighted on the map, and its attributes will be displayed in a new Search Results window for the selected area. A selection cannot be modified by adding to or deleting from an existing selection set. Each time a user makes a selection, a new selection set is created. The following are the different data features available in the search results window:

  1. Mining Claims
  2. Oil and Gas
  3. Rangeland
  4. Geothermal
  5. USFS
  6. Minerals
  7. ROW (Right of Way)
  8. Other
  9. Surface Management Agency
  10. PLSS (Public Land Survey System)
  11. Cases


 
1. Mining Claims

The Search Window displays the number of Mining Claim found in the identified area. Each mining claim has its own attributes, including an LR2000 report, Case ID, Serial Number, and Claim Name. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "LR2000" link will open a detailed LR2000 SRP (Serial Register Page) report about the mining claim. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Serial #" can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

2. Oil and Gas

When the Oil and Gas tab is chosen, oil and gas agreements, leases and lease sales located in the identified area will be shown in the Search Window. Each agreement or lease has its own attributes, which includes an LR2000 CR (Case Recordation) report, Stored Acreage, Serial Number, Case ID and Case Type. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Checking the select box will highlight the site on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove any highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "LR2000 CR Report" link will open a detailed LR2000 Serial Register Page report about the oil and gas lease or agreement. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the columns title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Serial #" can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

3. Rangeland

When the Rangeland tab is chosen, the Identify Window will display allotments and pastures located in the identified area. Each allotment and pasture has its own attributes, including an RAS (Rangeland Administration System) Report, Allotment Number, Admin DO (District Office) and Admin FO (Field Office). Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "RAS Report " link will open a detailed Rangeland Administration System report about the allotment or pasture. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Admin State " can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

4. Geothermal

When the Geothermal tab is chosen, the Identify Window will display Geothermal Leases, Agreements and Known Leasing Areas located in the identified area. Each lease and agreement has its own attributes, including an LR2000 report, Serial Number and Case ID. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "LR2000" link will open a detailed LR2000 Serial Register Page report about the geothermal lease or agreement. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Serial #" can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

5. USFS

When the USFS (U.S. Forest Service) tab is chosen, the Identify Window will display USFS Parcels located in the identified area. Each parcel has its own attributes, including Township, Section, Acres, County and Meridian. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Township" can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

6. Minerals

When the Minerals tab is chosen, the Identify Window will display Solid Mineral Leases, Coal Leases, Known Leasing Areas and Logical Mining Units located in the identified area. Each parcel has its own attributes, including Case ID, Serial Number, LR2000 Report and Case Type. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "LR2000 Report" link will open a detailed LR2000 Serial Register Page report about the mineral leases. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Serial Number " can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

7. ROW

When the ROW (Right of Way) tab is chosen, the Identify Window will display Right of Ways located in the identified area. Each parcel has its own attributes, including Case ID, Serial Number, LR2000 Report and Case Type. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "LR2000 Report" link will open a detailed LR2000 Serial Register Page report about the Right of Way. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "Serial Number " can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

8. Other

When the Other tab is chosen, the Identify Window will display Lease Permits and Mineral Materials Disposal that are located in the identified area. Each parcel has its own attributes, including Case ID, Serial Number, LR2000 Report and Case Type. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the map. Users can click the clear button on the Map Tools toolbar to remove the highlighted area. The clear button will also automatically close the Identify Window. The "LR2000 Report" link will open a detailed LR2000 Serial Register Page report about the parcel. To sort the parcels by a column, click on the column title. Then click the gray arrow that appears to the right of the title. For example, clicking on the arrow by "serial nr full " can arrange all the data in either ascending or descending order.

9. Surface Management Agency

After selecting the Surface Management Agency features tab, the Identify Window will display the Federal Surface Management Agency responsible for the land that the user identified on the map. This data includes Forest Service Regions, BLM Districts, National Parks, National Forests, and Other Federal Lands located in the identified region.

10. PLSS (Public Land Survey System)

Clicking on the PLSS tab will display all the State, Meridian, Township, Section, and Aliquot features including lots, quarter-quarters, tracts, blocks, etc. Each feature contains its own attributes.

11. Cases

Selecting the Cases tab will display the cases that affect land status, such as grants, exchanges, withdrawals, mineral patents, acquisitions, land disposals, designated areas, pending exchanges, and Public Law 167. Cases that affect land status are cases that take land in and out of government ownership. Click on "LR Status Report" to get information on patent number, U.S. rights and segregations. The "LR2000 Status Report" link will open a detailed LR2000 Serial Register Page report. Click on "zoom" to locate the parcel on the viewer map. Checking the select box will highlight the parcel on the map viewer.
